Job Description

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair marine electrical systems aboard ships and vessels
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
• Perform cable pulling, terminations, testing, and equipment hookups
• Troubleshoot motors, control panels, switchboards, lighting systems, and power distribution systems
• Inspect and repair electrical components during ship repair and overhaul projects
• Use electrical testing equipment including multimeters, megohmmeters, and continuity testers
• Ensure all work complies with shipyard safety standards, NAVSEA requirements, and applicable electrical codes
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and other trades during repair operations
• Perform work in confined spaces, aboard vessels, and in industrial shipyard environments
• Maintain clean and organized work areas while meeting production schedules

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years of marine electrical or ship repair experience
• Experience working aboard naval, commercial, or government vessels
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings
• Strong troubleshooting and repair skills
• Knowledge of marine electrical systems, AC/DC circuits, motors, generators, and control systems
• Experience with shipboard cableway installations and terminations preferred
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Must be able to pass background screening and drug testing
• OSHA 10/30, CPR, First Aid, or marine certifications are a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00- $30.00 Per hour

$125 Perdiem NON LOCAL ONLY
