Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A contract Registered Nurse (RN) opportunity is available in the Camas and Vancouver, WA areas for skilled nurses with school health experience. This position provides specialized one-on-one nursing care for a high school student in a supportive educational setting. The role requires a compassionate RN familiar with a variety of complex medical procedures to ensure the students safety and well-being during the school day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 nursing care to a high school student in the classroom
  • Manage medication administration according to prescribed schedules
  • Perform and monitor G-Tube feedings
  • Conduct catheterizations as needed and maintain catheter care
  • Operate a Hoyer lift to assist with student mobility
  • Carry out oral and nasal suctioning procedures
  • Collaborate with school staff and healthcare providers to support the students health plan
  • Follow bus schedule with pick-up at 7:59 a.m. and drop-off at 4:15 p.m., Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday

Qualifications:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Previous experience working in school nursing or pediatric care scenarios
  • Proficiency in medication management and complex medical procedures listed above
  • Ability to work independently in a school environment
  • Strong communication skills and collaboration with educational staff

This contract role is based at a school site in the Camas/Vancouver area, including nearby communities. The schedule offers a consistent four-day work week aligning with the school calendar.
