Job Description

Most electrician helpers spend their days pulling wire through walls. This isn't that. All About Blinds has been Cedar City's most trusted window covering company for nearly two decades. We show up on time, do the work right, and treat every home like it's our own. We're growing — and as motorized and automated window coverings become more popular, the electrical side of what we do is growing with it. We're looking for a Low-Voltage Electrician Apprentice who wants to do hands-on technical work in a clean environment — customer homes, not jobsite trailers — and grow into a role that owns our entire field operation. THE PATH This isn't an entry-level dead end. The person who earns trust here becomes the one who owns complex and commercial projects, trains the next hire, and eventually runs the field as Install Project Manager. That role exists in our growth plan and will be filled from within. That path is earned, not given. WHAT THE WORK ACTUALLY LOOKS LIKE Most days, you're installing window coverings — measuring, mounting, leveling, adjusting. You'll work in nice homes, with customers who care about how things look and are watching closely to make sure it's right. On the electrical jobs — which are growing — you're running low-voltage wire, feeding wire through studs, wiring motorized shades, and setting up automation systems. It's not pulling Romex through a crawl space. But it does require someone who understands wire, knows how to prep a job, and doesn't guess when something's unclear. About 20% of jobs have a low-voltage component right now. That number is going up. Automation is becoming more popular, and All About Blinds is building toward making it a bigger part of what we do. You'll also organize jobs as they arrive, verify orders, flag problems before they become someone else's emergency, and keep the company vehicle in the condition you'd want someone to return yours. The install is one part of the job. Everything before and after it matters just as much. WHO BELONGS HERE We Take Initiative means you look at tomorrow's jobs tonight and catch the one that needs an 18-inch drill bit before you're standing in the customer's driveway without one. You see what needs doing and you do it. We Are Others-Oriented means you walk into a customer's home genuinely interested in them — not just their windows. You're the last thing they experience before they decide whether to refer us to their neighbors. That's not a small thing. We Have Each Other's Back means when a product shows up damaged the morning of an install, you work the problem. The customer gets a new plan. It's no big deal — you've got it covered. We Act With Honor and Humility means you do your best work whether or not anyone's watching. When someone has a better way to do something, you take it.
