As a Respiratory Therapist with LifeBridge Health, you will perform comprehensive respiratory assessments, interpret diagnostic tests and arterial blood gases, initiate and manage oxygen therapy, and administer aerosolized medications and chest physiotherapy. You will be responsible for the setup, operation, and ongoing management of ventilators and other respiratory equipment, ensuring safe and accurate delivery of therapy in accordance with physician orders, clinical protocols, and regulatory standards. You will monitor patient responses to treatment, adjust therapy within defined parameters, document all care accurately in the electronic health record, and escalate changes in patient condition promptly. You will also play a key role in patient and family education, providing clear instruction about respiratory conditions, inhaler and device use, home oxygen, and strategies to promote lung health and prevent readmissions. In line with LifeBridge Health’s culture of collaboration, innovation, and community engagement, you will participate in interdisciplinary rounds, contribute to quality improvement initiatives, assist with the orientation and mentoring of new staff or students, and support the implementation of new technologies and best practices in respiratory care. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and committed to compassionate, patient-centered care. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced hospital environment, managing multiple priorities, responding to respiratory emergencies and rapid response calls, and providing support during codes and complex procedures. Strong communication skills, clinical judgment, and the ability to work effectively within a diverse, multidisciplinary team are essential. LifeBridge Health offers opportunities for professional development, including continuing education, specialty training, and pathways for career advancement within our integrated health system.
