Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Culinary Assistant to support kitchen operations and front-of-house presentation. This role involves assisting with food preparation, plating, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring an excellent dining experience for clients. The ideal candidate has prior experience in the culinary or hospitality industry and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, measuring, and ingredient setup
• Support chefs with plating and presentation to ensure dishes meet quality and aesthetic standards
• Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, maintaining a clean and organized workspace
• Help set up tables, including décor, place settings, and overall presentation
• Serve food and beverages to clients in a professional and courteous manner
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in both kitchen and service areas
• Assist with event setup and breakdown when applicable
• Follow all food safety and hygiene guidelines

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a kitchen, catering, or hospitality environment preferred
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• Strong attention to detail, especially in food presentation and cleanliness
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Responsible and dependable 
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Capability to lift and carry moderate loads (e.g., kitchen supplies, dish racks)
• Comfortable working in a busy kitchen environment

Schedule & Availability:

• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and events as needed

Compensation:

• Competitive hourly rate, based on experience

Location: LA County/Ventura County

Employment Type: Part-Time

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary Range: $20 - $30 per hour, depending on experience

Hiring Process:
