LifeBridge Health is seeking a compassionate and skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team within our regional healthcare organization in Maryland. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide evidence-based respiratory care to patients across the continuum, including emergency, critical care, inpatient, and outpatient settings. You will assess, plan, and implement respiratory therapies for patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary conditions, ensuring safe and effective treatment that aligns with physician orders and best-practice clinical guidelines. In this role, you will perform comprehensive respiratory assessments, administer oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, chest physiotherapy, and other therapeutic interventions, and manage non-invasive and invasive mechanical ventilation. You will monitor patient responses, interpret diagnostic data such as arterial blood gases and pulmonary function tests, and adjust therapy plans in collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team. You will also participate in rapid response and code situations, contributing your expertise in airway management and resuscitative efforts. You will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining a wide range of respiratory care equipment, ensuring proper function, safety, and infection control practices. Documentation of all assessments, interventions, patient education, and outcomes in the electronic medical record will be an essential part of your daily work, supporting communication, quality, and regulatory compliance. You will actively contribute to care planning and patient rounds, providing input on weaning strategies, discharge planning, and home-care needs for patients requiring ongoing respiratory support. You will provide education to patients and families on disease management, inhaler and device use, oxygen safety, and lifestyle modifications to promote long-term health and well-being.
