Entrepreneur in Residence Sloan Martin Trust Center will help educate, mentor, and coach MIT students across campus on the realities of being an entrepreneur, work collaboratively with other Trust Center EIRs and staff to ensure students across campus receive the support they need to accelerate their ideas for impact, ensure Trust Center mentorship and support reflect a rapidly changing world—from building companies to leveraging entrepreneurial skills in the age of AI—run programs to advance entrepreneurship education at MIT, including developing and executing programs such as t=0, MIT Fuse, StartMIT, Delta v, workshops, and guest lectures, and collaborate with other centers (Legatum, Sandbox Innovation Fund, Venture Mentoring Service, TLO, Media Lab, Deshpande, Gordan Engineering Leadership Center, etc.) to deliver holistic educational experiences that prepare students to teach technology and entrepreneurship. Responsibilities Educate, mentor, and coach MIT students on the realities of being an entrepreneur. Ensure mentorship and support reflect a rapidly changing world, from building companies to leveraging entrepreneurial skills in the age of AI. Run programs to advance entrepreneurship education at MIT—develop, execute, and assist with initiatives such as t=0, MIT Fuse, StartMIT, Delta v, workshops, and guest lectures. Collaborate with other centers (Legatum, Sandbox Innovation Fund, Venture Mentoring Service, TLO, Media Lab, Deshpande, Gordan Engineering Leadership Center, etc.) to create and deliver holistic educational experiences that prepare students to teach technology and entrepreneurship. Qualifications Master’s degree. A minimum of five years of industry experience. Experience in a business start‑up or as a founder or early employee in a startup or other innovation‑driven organization. Excellent command of written and spoken English. Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment. Interest in innovation and entrepreneurship. Preferred Qualifications MBA. Willingness to openly share successes and failures with students in the educational process. Strong motivation and willingness to bridge‑build across campus to help MIT students take full advantage of available resources and identify and fill gaps where needed.
