St. Joe Center Veterinary Hospital is looking to fill TWO part-time positions immediately. Both of these positions are for Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist, meaning candidates will be trained as a receptionist and as a Veterinary Assistant. Duties for these positons will include but are not limited to client communication, taking payments, scheduling, assisting our veterinarians during appointments, charting, drawing up vaccines, handling fecal and urine samples. The candidates for this position should be comfortable with holding dog breeds of all sizes and cats, a drive to learn, friendly, have a flexible schedule (being available different days of the week each week) dependable and willingness to step in and help out where needed. Veterinary experience is a plus. Experience with Avimark is a huge plus. These positions would begin as part-time but do have the potential for becoming full time in the future. These are permanent positions so we are looking for people that are wanting long term employment. The starting pay is $14/hr. We offer paid scrub allowances (after 90 days), staff discounts on services, pet dollars, and the option to contribute to a 401k. (Insurance benefits offered for full-time employees only.) We have a long standing team ranging from 1 year-30 years of employment. Please send in your resumes with experience.
