Overview Description Location: UCHealth Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion, Aurora, CO Department: Pharmacy Inpatient Work Schedule: Part Time, 56.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks), 7 on 7 off evenings with weekend day shift Shift: Days and Evenings Pay: $59.80 - $83.72 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option Minimum Requirements Bachelor\'s Degree or higher degree in Pharmacy from an accredited school of Pharmacy. Required Licensure/Certification: State licensure as a Pharmacist and any relevant life support certification as determined at position level. Preferred PGY2 residency in Oncology, OR PGY1 residency + 1 years of Oncology Clinical experience, OR no residency and 3 years of Oncology Clinical experience preferred Prior inpatient experience is preferred Board certification in area of expertise within 1 year of employment preferred Role and Responsibilities Support oncology patients in the inpatient oncology setting, including medical oncology and hematologic malignancies, playing a crucial role in their care. Clinical Pharmacist You will be providing coverage on the inpatient oncology/bone marrow transplant unit and in our outpatient oncology infusion areas. This diverse exposure allows you to gain experience with a wide range of oncology patients and treatment modalities. Robust Clinical Practice: Establish a strong clinical pharmacy practice focused on patient-centered care. This includes: Medication Management: Comprehensive medication reviews, order verification, and patient counseling. Therapy Optimization: Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize drug therapy plans, ensuring efficacy and safety. Specialized Oncology Expertise: Develop proficiency in intravenous and oral anti-cancer therapies for both solid and hematologic malignancies. Operational Excellence: Contribute to the efficient operation of pharmacy services within the oncology areas, including medication dispensing, inventory management, and quality improvement initiatives.
