Job Description

The Logistics & Transportation Manager serves as the operational right hand to the Head of Operational Logistics operating across US and Mexico. The role provides direct management support to the transportation and logistics team while driving cost saving initiatives, process optimization, and cross-functional alignment. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in domestic transportation combined with a process-oriented mindset and the leadership maturity to build team culture, enforce accountability and own results. Your Responsibilities Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team. Oversee daily domestic LTL, FTL, and parcel carrier operations, including issue resolution, refusals, damages, and rescheduling. Demonstrated knowledge of domestic LTL, FTL, and parcel shipping, including carrier management and rate negotiation. Own relationships with key carrier partners including UPS and contracted freight carriers; identify opportunities to test and onboard alternative carriers for cost efficiency and operational effectiveness. Identify and implement automation opportunities to reduce manual communication volume. Monitor carrier performance metrics and elevate or remediate underperforming partners. Drive the documentation and standardization of logistics processes and standard operating procedures across 3PL and transportation partners. Ensure all shipping requirements for major accounts are documented, communicated and enforced with partners. Proactively track account-driven changes and update SOPs accordingly to minimize chargebacks and compliance penalties. Support import/export operations as a secondary point of contact. Minimum Qualifications 7-10 years experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation operations. Demonstrated knowledge of domestic LTL, FTL, and parcel shipping, including carrier management and rate negotiation. Proven people management experience with a track record of driving accountability. Strong analytical skills, ability to interpret data and translate findings into clear recommendations. Experience developing or enforcing SOPs and operational documentation. Proficiency in ERP and/or WMS systems. What We're Looking For 7-10 years experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation operations. Proficiency in ERP and/or WMS systems. Preferred Qualifications Well versed in Microsoft Office Suite applications with advanced Excel skills. Experience working with 3PL warehouse partners and national retail accounts. Familiarity with Amazon Vendor/Seller compliance requirements. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Cost-conscious and data-driven decision making. Adaptability and comfort working in a department undergoing transformation. High attention to detail and follow-through. The salary range for this position is $115,000 to $135,000 annually plus bonus. This range is a guideline and may not reflect your exact offer.
