Hospitalist - Full-time Position in Lake Charles, LA

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Hospitalist to join our dynamic healthcare team in Lake Charles, LA. This full-time position offers a highly competitive compensation package, including a base salary of $325,000, plus a $25,000 sign-on bonus, a $25,000 start bonus, and the potential for additional quarterly bonuses. This role features a 7-on/7-off schedule, allowing for an ideal work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive inpatient care to a diverse patient population.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
• Perform patient assessments, manage acute conditions, and oversee the coordination of care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, ensuring continuity of care.
• Participate in daily rounds, including patient evaluation, management, and discharge planning.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the overall efficiency of hospital operations.
• Serve as a consultant to other physicians and healthcare providers, offering expert advice on patient care.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and stay current with medical advancements.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Competitive base salary of $325,000.

Qualifications:

• M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited institution.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
• Unrestricted Louisiana medical license (or eligibility to obtain one).
• Experience in a hospitalist role preferred, but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
