The role combines strategic technology leadership with hands-on execution oversight, ensuring stability today while driving transformation toward scalable, modern architectures for the future. You will lead engineering managers and senior engineers, shaping both delivery outcomes and organizational capability. Working in a highly regulated and mission-driven environment, you will collaborate closely with business, product, and technology leaders to align engineering initiatives with enterprise priorities. This is a high-impact role where your decisions will influence system reliability, operational performance, and long-term platform strategy across a large healthcare ecosystem.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead end-to-end engineering delivery across core application platforms, ensuring reliability, performance, scalability, and operational excellence.
  • Define and execute a forward-looking technology roadmap that balances immediate operational needs with long-term platform modernization initiatives.
  • Manage and develop engineering managers and senior engineers, fostering accountability, leadership growth, and high-performance execution.
  • Establish and enforce engineering standards, governance models, and delivery practices aligned with enterprise and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with product, business, and technology stakeholders to align engineering execution with organizational and customer priorities.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks, particularly across legacy systems and modernization efforts.
  • Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes, system stability, and delivery efficiency across teams.
Requirements

This role requires deep experience in software engineering leadership within complex enterprise environments, ideally involving large-scale, business-critical systems. Candidates should bring a strong mix of technical depth, strategic thinking, and proven people leadership.

  • 15+ years of experience in software engineering, systems design, application development, or IT engineering roles.
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale, mission-critical application platforms in enterprise environments.
  • Experience defining and executing technology strategy across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing engineering managers and cross-functional technical teams.
  • Strong background in platform modernization and legacy system transformation.
  • Ability to align engineering execution with business strategy and enterprise objectives.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and organizational leadership skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, or a related field preferred.
Benefits
  • Annual salary range: 166,400 277,300 USD, based on experience and location
  • Annual bonus eligibility and long-term incentive plan participation
  • Comprehensive healthcare coverage including medical, dental, and vision (starting day one)
  • Mental health, behavioral health, and well-being programs
  • 401(k) retirement plan
  • Company-paid life insurance
  • Tuition reimbursement programs
  • Minimum of 18 days of paid time off plus paid holidays
  • Hybrid/remote flexibility with required broadband connectivity standards
  • Inclusive and equal opportunity workplace committed to diversity and accessibility.
