About the Role:

The Energy Rebates Manager is responsible for monitoring, operationalizing utility and government rebate programs across the United States and Canada. This Role builds direct relationships with program administrators to gather forward-looking intelligence, ensures accurate public-facing rebate information, and translates program requirements into clear product eligibility guidance for internal teams/Sales and customers. This role deals with a daily-based rebate program list along with the eligible equipment types and efficiency requirements. The manager will do the cross-functional enablement to ensure to support sales/customer-facing teams with clear rebate guidance and updates and to serve as the internal point of contact for rebate-related matters for the enhancement of sales.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in energy efficiency program management or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems and energy efficiency principles.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Experience working with rebate programs in the retail trade industry.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and incentives related to energy efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage HVAC energy rebate programs, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulations into clear, region-specific sales guidance.
  • Analyze program performance metrics and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders to support sales in positioning rebates as a value driver to accelerate customer decision-making and increase close rates.
  • Conduct training sessions for the customers/internal staff to ensure they are knowledgeable about available rebates and can effectively communicate them to customers.
  • Collaborate with utility companies and manufacturers to create attractive rebate offerings for customers.

Skills:

The required skills for this position include strong analytical abilities, which will be utilized to assess program performance and identify trends in customer behavior. Excellent communication skills are essential for effectively collaborating with stakeholders and training retail staff on rebate offerings. Project management skills will be crucial in overseeing the implementation of rebate programs and ensuring they meet deadlines and objectives. Additionally, a solid understanding of HVAC systems will enable the manager to provide valuable insights into program development. Preferred skills, such as familiarity with regulatory requirements, will enhance the manager's ability to navigate the complexities of energy efficiency incentives.
