Are you looking to start your career in nonprofits? As a Donor Relations Associate , you will interact directly with our donors through our donor call center. You will be responding to their inquiries, accepting donations, resolving concerns, and briefly praying with them for prayer requests. Your ability to attentively serve the needs of our donor partners will greatly impact our ability to provide life-saving aid to more than two million needy people in Israel and Jewish communities worldwide.

This Full-time, Temp-to-Hire role will have the following key responsibilities.

  • Promptly answering all calls in a courteous, caring, and professional manner and making follow-up donor calls as needed. Identifying donor needs and responding to donor requests and concerns using appropriate research techniques.
  • Preparing and ensuring the accuracy of special letters, honor/memory letters, and other standard letters. Ensuring proper coding of donor interaction within the donor database. Distributing donor documentation to appropriate departments.
  • Responding to website feedback by doing research and writing replies to donors, conducting initial processing of matching gifts, resolving credit card issues, and special projects.

As the ideal candidate, you’ll possess these qualities and experience:

  • 2 plus years of relevant work experience in customer service and hospitality
  • A customer-friendly tone and the ability to convey professionalism and empathy with donors.
  • Strong abilities in problem-solving to effectively and proactively provide timely response to donor concerns and requests which often includes requests to pray, processing of donations, and requests for information.
  • Ability to display cultural sensitivity to both the Jewish and Christian communities and a broad understanding of the Evangelical Christian community.
  • Core values of integrity, humility, accountability, collaboration, dignity, and innovation with the ability to foster this in a work environment.
  • Great ability to multi-task
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree is a plus.
  • Strong computer capabilities that include familiarity with customer databases and Microsoft Office. Ability to accurately type 50 WPM.
