Description Join a collaborative, high-performing team at one of Birmingham's leading hospitals. TeamHealth is seeking a nocturnist critical care advanced practice clinician to join our team at Baptist Health - Brookwood Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama.
Facility Details - Beds: 595-bed acute care facility
- Multiple ICU-level units supporting medical, surgical, cardiac, and neurologic patients, with flexible critical care capacity based on staffing and patient acuity
- Primary Stroke Center Certified
- EPIC EMR for efficient documentation
Position Overview - Flexible block schedule model
- Full-time night shift: 6p-6a
- Competitive compensation package
- Critical care background is required
- Procedure experience highly preferred; no intubations or chest tubes required
- Typical responsibilities: acute issues, admissions, consults, and emergency procedures (central and arterial lines); anesthesia team in-house for intubations
- 20-25 patients per day average
- Solo clinician coverage required on nights; ICU physician on call for back-up as needed
