Job Description - Technical Product Owner (Scrum)


Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Product Owner with strong Scrum and Agile delivery experience. The ideal candidate will work closely with engineering, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to define product requirements, manage the product backlog, and drive successful delivery of technical solutions. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate business needs into actionable user stories.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the engineering team.
• Own and manage the product backlog , ensuring clarity, prioritization, and alignment with business goals.
• Lead Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Translate business requirements into detailed user stories , acceptance criteria, and technical specifications.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of product features.
• Partner with architects and technical leads to define system requirements , dependencies, and technical feasibility.
• Monitor product performance, gather feedback, and drive continuous improvements based on KPIs and user insights.
• Ensure product decisions align with technology standards, scalability, and security best practices .
• Support release planning, sprint forecasting, and cross-team coordination.
• Communicate status, risks, and updates to stakeholders and leadership.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner , Technical Product Owner , or similar role.
• Strong experience working in Scrum/Agile environments.
• Solid understanding of software development , system architecture, APIs, cloud technologies, and integration patterns.
• Proven ability to write clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Experience collaborating with engineering teams in a technical capacity.
• Excellent communication, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills.
• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent Agile certification.
• Experience with SDLC, DevOps practices, or cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Background in technical program management or software engineering is a plus.
