Job Description

A national chemicals company is looking to hire an Sr Environmental Engineer with expertise in waste and water permitting and compliance. The Sr Environmental Engineer will be tasked with maintaining the site's waste and water programs, including preparing permits and overseeing data collection, ensuring all permits and procedures are in compliance with local, state and federal environmental regulations.

The Role:

• Organize, implement, and audit the corporate environmental programs and strategy at the facility, ensuring compliance to all regulatory standards
• Prepare and coordinate all environmental permits, reports and related requirements for facility for waste and water
• Manage the site's NPDES, SWPP and discharge permits, ensuring compliance with local regulations and the organization's air compliance strategy
• Lead reporting and compliance requirements for waste water resources at the site
• Assist team members and operations in compliance with related programs and permit.

The Candidate:

• 5+ years of industrial water compliance and permitting experience, chemicals industry preferred
• Bachelor’s of Science degree, preferably in Engineering or Environmental Science
• Experience with state environmental regulations
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence various stakeholders.
