Minimum 1+ years school therapist experience required.

Step into a vital role supporting student development through music therapy within an educational setting! This contract opportunity begins August 11, 2026, and continues through May 26, 2027, based in a full-time, on-site position. You’ll provide individual and group music therapy services, contribute to multi-disciplinary teams, and play an integral part in helping students develop new skills and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individual and group music therapy sessions within a campus environment, tailored to meet IEP goals and student needs.
• Assess students with disabilities to determine eligibility for music therapy services.
• Design and adapt music therapy equipment as needed for student success.
• Participate in ARD Committee meetings to interpret data and set student goals.
• Collaborate and consult with parents, teachers, staff, and administrators to enhance student support.
• Provide professional development and training to school staff about music therapy programs.
• Maintain an environment supportive of learning, following student management and discipline guidelines.
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation, report, and record-keeping.
• Continually evaluate and refine music therapy programming.
• Comply with all federal, state, and local policies, as well as campus routines.
• Engage in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications:

• National certification in Music Therapy required.
• Experience working as a school-based or art therapist preferred.
• Competency in developing and documenting IEP-aligned therapy services.
• Previous experience supporting students with autism and developmental disabilities.
• Strong assessment, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• District fingerprint clearance (transferrable if already in system).
