Quarry Manager - Guyana

We are representing a fast-paced, operations-driven organisation focused on delivering consistent, high-quality production through disciplined processes and strong leadership. With a commitment to safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement, we are looking for a capable Quarry Manager to play a key role in driving day-to-day performance on site a large-scale aggregates quarry operation.

Reporting directly to the COO, the Quarry Manager will take full responsibility for the daily management of quarry operations. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a proactive individual who can oversee extraction, crushing, workforce coordination, and equipment utilisation while maintaining high safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all daily quarry operations, including extraction and crushing activities.
  • Plan and execute daily production schedules to meet output targets.
  • Coordinate drilling, blasting, and material flow.
  • Monitor equipment performance and maximise utilisation and uptime.
  • Work closely with maintenance teams to minimise downtime.
  • Supervise and manage operators and supervisors on site.
  • Ensure efficient loading and crushing processes.
  • Maintain and enforce safe working practices at all times.
  • Identify and resolve operational issues quickly and effectively.
  • Produce daily reports on production, equipment usage, and safety.

Essential Experience & Skills:

  • Proven experience in quarrying or open-pit mining operations.
  • 5-10 years' operational experience in a similar environment (hot and remote)
  • Strong understanding of quarry processes and production workflows.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management capability.
  • Hands-on approach with a focus on operational discipline.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • High level of safety awareness and commitment to best practices.
