Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily production operations
    Oversee shift activities, coordinate workflow, allocate resources, and ensure production goals for safety, quality, delivery, and cost are consistently met.
  • Ensure regulatory and quality system compliance
    Maintain adherence to FDA, ISO 13485, and internal Quality System requirements, including proper documentation, training compliance, and adherence to controlled procedures.
  • Develop and manage production personnel
    Provide direction, coaching, performance feedback, and development of Production staff to build a capable, high‑performing team.
  • Optimize production processes and efficiency
    Monitor production performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements in methods, equipment utilization, and material flow using Lean, 5S, and waste‑reduction tools.
  • Support capacity, labor, and schedule planning
    Evaluate production schedules, forecast labor needs, balance staffing, and communicate constraints or resource requirements to planning and leadership.
  • Foster a safe, engaged, and collaborative work environment
    Promote workplace safety, drive employee engagement, support problem‑solving, and collaborate cross‑functionally with Quality, Engineering, Materials, and Customer Service to resolve issues promptly.

Required Education & Experience

  • Associate's degree in manufacturing technology, business, operations or a related field and/or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees and business associates.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to clearly provide work direction and present recommendations and ideas and to build consensus.
  • Ability to build, coach and motivate personnel, while holding employees accountable for results.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment with shifting priorities and multiple deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Medical device manufacturing experience
  • Familiarity with MRP software (Microsoft AX or others).
  • Lean manufacturing and continual process improvement experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and the ability to talk and hear.
  • Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arm’s length, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally life and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work onsite during operating hours: 5am-3:30pm M-Th
