Job Summary
Installs, maintains, & repairs heating, ventilation, air conditioning, & refrigeration (HVAC-R) systems.
General Accountabilities
Inspects HVAC-R systems.
Performs regularly scheduled maintenance on HVAC-R systems.
Installs HVAC-R systems.
Diagnoses & correct problems in HVAC-R systems.
Tests electrical circuits & components for continuity .
Tests pipe or tubing joints & connections for leaks.
Joins pipes or tubing to equipment & to fuel, water, or refrigerant source.
Reassembles & tests equipment following repairs.
Repairs or replaces defective equipment, components, or wiring.
Obtains & maintains required certifications.
Installs, connects, & adjust thermostats, humidistats & timers.
Complies with all applicable standards, policies, & procedures, including safety
procedures & the maintenance of a clean work area.
Inspects & tests HVAC-R systems to verify system compliance with plans & specifications & to detect & locate malfunctions.

Job Qualifications
Education: Completion of HVAC or HVAC-R training or apprenticeship program
Experience: Appropriate certifications &/or licensures with 3-5 years of related
experience
