Position Summary

Havasu Riviera Marina is seeking a Guest Services representative. The Guest Services position acts as a concierge service to the marina guests. This position reports to the Marina Operations Manager.

General Duties

  • Provide genuine, warm greetings to all day users, Slip Holders, and State Park Annual Pass holders. Smiling, caring, and making a concerted effort to provide accurate information about Marinas services is essential, while assisting guests efficiently
  • Assist guests with duties that create a unique guest experience. Examples such as but not limited to, acting as a dock hand, assisting with fueling up their boat, carrying merchandise and product to the guests boat, helping to transport carts with their boating supplies to their boat, assist with directing parking, and any other reasonable action that enhances the guest experience.
  • Fill in shifts at the marina store or entry station as needed.
  • Maintaining a clean well-maintained marina. Cleaning fuel stations and pumps, docks, sidewalks, store front, trash and any other reasonable request by a manager.
  • Adheres to company policies and guidelines.
  • Assisting and ensuring a safe work environment and marina facility for the employees and guests.
  • Must have a valid drivers license and be able to drive golf carts.
  • Must be able to communicate with management on any concerns, complaints, safety violations, incidents that occurred and look for ways to improve the guest experience.
  • Any other reasonable task assigned by a manager.

Code of Conduct Requirements

  • Notify management of guest complaints at the time they occur. Practice effective service recovery by rectifying any complaints as soon as possible
  • Because of the fluctuating demands of the companys operation, it may be necessary that each Employee Partner perform a multitude of different functions therefore, as an essential part of your position, you will be expected to help others when occasions arise
  • Adhere to all company, marina, and front gate written mandatory standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, memos, oral instructions, etc.
  • Communicate effectively with proper grammar
  • Wear a clean and neat uniform daily that follows Havasu Riviera Marina Dress Code standards
  • Maintain the reputation of the marina and common areas as a clean and welcoming facility
  • Ability to interact positively with supervisors, management, co-workers, guests, owners, and public with skills to provide excellent customer service
  • Ability to produce work in a timely manner which is accurate, complete and of high quality

Job Type: Seasonal- March 1 thru September 30

  • This position is season and runs from March 1 thru September 30 with an option to be available on-call after the season ends based on performance.
  • Sick pay as required by Arizona State Law

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to stand for an extended period of time
  • Must be able to work in a refrigerated area for up to 15 minutes and be able to work outside in all types of weather. Be able to withstand high temperature summer weather throughout your shift.
  • Be able to lift up to 50 pounds, load and lift goods in and out of carts, work around fuel docks, bend and stand throughout the day.
  • Be able to climb a ladder
  • Be able to sweep and mop floors, dusts shelves and lift and carry out trash containers, any other janitorial duties as assigned
  • Be able to clean bathrooms, to include floors, sinks and toilet

Schedule

The nature of our business at the Havasu Riviera Marina requires all employees to work weekends. All applicants need to expect to work all summer holidays and Marina events.

  • Federal and state working hours and vacation allowances will be respected, as a minimum.
  • To be mutually agreed, but in line with recreational boating and hospitality employment practices, will include:
  • Weekend working
  • Seasonal working
  • Unsociable hours
  • Paid overtime

Education & Experience

  • A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent, is required
  • Customer service experience in hospitality, marina, or equivalent service-based industry
  • Proven track record of performing at the highest level of ethical work standards
