The Growth and Middle Market Technology Banking Team at MUFG covers the most exciting venture backed, private equity owned, pre-IPO and publicly traded technology companies in the world.
In this role, you will be responsible for initiating, developing, and enhancing relationships and will seek to expand the bank's client portfolio within the technology vertical. Primary coverage will span Greater New York, Philadelphia, and Greater DC, with the expectation that the successful individual will also provide leadership and direction across multiple teams operating in these markets, ensuring strong connectivity and consistent execution across the eastern region.
As a Director, you will be responsible for delivering on budgeted financial performance for deposits, loan commitments, loan outstandings, and cross sales of related commercial and investment banking products and services, all while ensuring strong credit quality of the portfolio.
You will have significant market visibility and will be expected to self-generate leads by calling growth and middle market technology companies and other key contacts within the entrepreneurial ecosystem (CEOs, CFOs, Attorneys, Accountants, etc.). Target universe includes institutionally backed cash burning companies through to publicly traded cash flowing enterprises. You'll be expected to identify, negotiate, and present all aspects of a lending opportunity to the senior credit committee, and to lead new deals from origination through closing. This role is strategic in nature and as such the banker should utilize bank capital in an effective manner that will ultimately foster long-standing, profitable client relationships. You will also be expected to support and influence team-level performance across your markets in alignment with MUFG's strategic objectives.

The typical base pay range for this role is between $230K - $270K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
