Field Service Engineer – Chandler, AZ
Compensation $90,000 - $100,000 dependant on location and experience
We are looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer to support advanced plasma processing equipment at a major semiconductor fabrication facility in Chandler, Arizona.
This is a unique opportunity to work on next-generation semiconductor tools, including involvement in tool development and qualification in Germany before supporting installation and operation in the U.S.

The Role
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of advanced plasma processing systems within a semiconductor fabrication environment.
You will act as the primary on-site technical specialist, ensuring equipment performance, reliability, and uptime while working closely with global engineering and product teams.
A key part of this role includes training in Germany, where you will support the development and qualification of new tools before they are deployed at the customer site.
Key Responsibilities
• Install, commission, and qualify semiconductor plasma processing equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance and system upgrades
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues
• Provide on-site technical support and respond to urgent service requests
• Train customer engineers and operators on system operation and maintenance
• Support new tool development and factory acceptance testing in Germany
• Maintain service documentation and provide feedback to engineering teams
• Ensure compliance with site safety requirements and industry standards
What We’re Looking For
• Associate degree in electrical, electronic, or electro-mechanical engineering (or equivalent military technical training)
• 5+ years of field service or equipment support experience
• Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, and automation systems
• Experience with PLC troubleshooting and industrial control systems
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced technical environment
• Valid driver’s license and passport
