SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER – ENGLISH –HIGH SCHOOL - TEMP

United Staffing Solutions, a leader in the staffing industry has the pleasure of assisting a successful, private, special education school who is seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher to teach 10th and 12th grade English to students who have special learning needs.

This is a temporary position from now until June 26th.

Pay Rate - $39.00 - $41.20 per hour depending on experience. This is a 35-hour work week.

Days/Hours: Monday, Thursday, Friday: 7:55a.m.- 2:40p.m, Tuesdays 7:55am-3:30pm and Wednesdays 7:55am-4pm.

Responsibilities for the Special Education Teacher: 

• Create academic plans and goals based on assessment data
• Monitor and analyze each student’s progress related to communication, academics, behavior and social skills
• Involvement in the IEP process      
• Work with service providers, home base providers, parents and the multidisciplinary team

Requirements for the Special Education Teacher:

• Minimum of a MA in Special Education or a related field
• NYS Certification in Special Education Grades 1-6 or 7-12
• Minimum of 3 years previous experience teaching middle or high school students with learning disabilities
• Must have prior experience teaching Science in a special education setting
• Highly skilled in the IEP process
• Ability to work with parents, teachers and faculty
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to provide 3 business references
