About the Clinician's Workday
The nurse practitioner will provide comprehensive cardiothoracic surgery coverage with 24-hour shift responsibilities including prescription writing, coordination of care, patient rounding, test interpretation and ordering, and vein harvesting procedures. The position requires managing 5-20 patients daily with board certification and prescriptive authority mandatory for optimal patient care delivery. The clinician will collaborate with nursing staff and support teams to ensure continuity of care across inpatient units while maintaining accurate electronic documentation throughout the assignment period.
