Job Description

Under the direction of the Head Women's Basketball Coach, the Assistant Coach will assist with all phases of the program. Primary responsibilities will be to administer in the areas of player development, game management and strategy, on and off-campus recruiting and scouting. Additional responsibilities include assisting with film breakdown, practice and game planning and working with other department and campus units.

Hiring Range:

Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Pay is based on several factors, including budget, labor market, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and/or certification and other business considerations.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Strong background in skill analysis and Women's Basketball skill instruction

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully train student-athletes' individual skill development and motivate players to achieve

  • Thorough knowledge of and commitment to compliance with NCAA Division I rules and regulations

  • Commitment to the academic success of student-athletes

  • Evidence of the ability to interact positively with student-athletes, parents, colleagues and community members

  • Demonstrated professional behavior

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Evidence of successful experience at a competitive intercollegiate level in the sport of Women's Basketball

  • Experience in conducting camps, clinics and tournaments

  • Evidence of recruiting experience along with strong connections to the Women's Basketball community

  • Specialized knowledge and use of technology and video to enhance player development and team performance
