Follows company rules and policies.
Good attendance record – less than 6 points.
No written corrective action or above on file.
Basic leadership skills.
Good communication skills.
Basic knowledge of Toyota Production System.
Knowledge of Kanban system.
Excellent Organizational skills.
Mechanical aptitude a plus.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education diploma (GED) required.
1 year Lead Operator experience or 1-year previous manufacturing experience in equivalent position.
80% process experience in current position and special knowledge for processes.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Clear, concise written and verbal skills and problem-solving skills required. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively after groups of team members.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Experience using Microsoft office systems, Excel and Word a plus
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED WORK HOURS
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, First Shift - 5:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., 2nd Shift – 1:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. or 4 p.m. – 1:00 a.m. or Sunday through Thursday, Third Shift – 9:30 p.m. – 6:30 a.m. Occasional overtime throughout the week and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
